...THANKSGIVING...

For many years Thanksgiving has always been a favorite holiday for me. Growing up we were lucky enough to live close enough to my dad's relatives and my mom's relatives. This meant that each year we would be spending Thanksgiving with extended family. One year at my dad's parents house, the next year was usually spent at my mom's sisters house. I loved this because I had a cousin on each side and it gave us an excuse to hang out together.
As I've gotten older and traditions have changed, Thanksgiving is still at the top of my list for my favorite holiday. My husband and I have also adopted the every other year transition and it's been kind of nice.
One thing I'm not so great at is getting pictures each year. Once again, it's helpful to have a mother-in-law that's also obsessed with pictures and scrapbooking because she is a little bit better about remembering to take random pictures.
This particular Thanksgiving was the year I made shirts, so before everyone else arrived at my mother-in-laws I did take individual pictures of everyone in their shirts, but that was it. So I was really excited that my mother-in-law took family pictures before we left. Some kids were covering their shirts, but it made me happy to have a family picture from Thanksgiving. The rest of the pictures were of random things that happened that day, but they all revolve around family.
