Welcome to On The Way To 7!

My home away from home.

The place where I share all the things I possibly can with anyone who cares to read.

I spent a lot of time trying to find a somewhat original, fun name for this little bloggety blog. Like a lot. I wasn’t even sure which direction I wanted to go in but eventually tried to come up with something that went along with the size of my family.

I entered the words nine, and then seven into some generators, and one of the phrases that came up was ‘Something Happened on the Way to Seven’, which was playing off the phrase, ‘Something Happened on the Way to Heaven.’

And ‘Something Happened on the Way to Heaven’ just happens to be a song. And because I love music, I knew I had to use this phrase. It just fits!

Seven kids was never really what my husband and I planned for. He was content with 3 and I didn’t like the idea of an odd number, so I thought 4 would be great. But after a while I knew that 4 wasn’t where it needed to end. But when we hit 7, I felt differently. And I totally realize the irony of me not wanting an odd number of kids…but whatcha going to do?

Along the path to 7 kids, life happened. Life still happens. Thus, the reason this name fits my vision for this blog.

WHat.png

This blog is comprised of three sections: H Family Chaos, My Perfectly Imperfect Ruminations, and My Scrappy Crafty Life.

H FAMILY CHAOS is the place where I share the day-to-day happenings of our family. With 7 children, our lives can be pretty eventful. This blog is also the dumping grounds for my memories so when I get around to scrapbooking the pictures, I can remember what happened.

MY PERFECTLY IMPERFECT RUMINATIONS is where I get to delve deeper into my psyche and the things going on in my personal life. I’ve always dreamed of being an author, but lack the sufficient knowledge and how-to to make it a possibility. So I spend my time pretending here.

MY SCRAPPY CRAFTY LIFE is set aside as the place to share my creative endeavors. I mostly focus on digital scrapbooking, but occasionally find myself dabbling in other areas of creativity.
