Somewhere along the path of parenthood we had a child become obsessed with Scooby-Doo and I can't even remember the where, why, or when it all happened, but it happened. So, we, of course, saw ALL the movies they made in the 2000's. And all I can think of since I created the layouts I'm about to share is this:
(Starts at 2:20)
In an effort to expand my shopping options for scrapbook kits, I once came across Sweet Shoppe Designs. I didn't browse too closely that first time and I hadn't made it a habit to check the store out when I was looking for scrap kits, but a short time ago, I found my way back to their site and loaded with some extra birthday money, I went on a shopping spree. One such collection I came across was centered all around Scooby-Doo, and I knew I had a use for it and I needed it in my collection.
My first layout centers on our Scooby-obsessed kid, Tanis. It only made sense that he'd want to dress up as Scooby-Doo at least once for Halloween. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised that he didn't request a Scooby costume more than once. It's always a little bittersweet to scrap old photos, but here we are and at least I'm getting the past scrapped here and there. Here's a little Tanis, dressed as Scooby.

I had another use for this collection and I was excited to see that though I used the same collection for two different layouts, they're not super similar.
Eric and I had the chance to go to Universal Studios last year and I was impressed with how many characters they have wandering about. We got lucky and saw Scooby. I knew we needed to get a picture, mostly so we could share it with Tanis, but I also had some mom guilt about it. All I could think about was how awesome it would have been for Tanis to be there with us. He really would have loved the whole experience.
