It's always a bit of a challenge to use one kit for two different themed pages, but that's the task I took on when working with Slice of Life. The designer asked that if we worked with the collection we create two layouts, so that's just what I did.

When I first saw this collection, I was focused on the bees. They were so cute and I was reminded of a time when we went to our minor league team's baseball game on our state holiday. My father-in-law was always so good to get us tickets for games with fireworks and we'd come a little later just so the kids didn't have to sit for so long. At one of these games, my baby girl somehow received a bee balloon animal. I want to say it was from a kind stranger, but I honestly CAN NOT remember the details. Whatever the details, this bee brought about lots of enjoyment and kept my little girl from getting too terribly bored.

Knowing I had to make another layout with this collection, I wanted to move a little bit away from the bee theme, but still wanted to focus on the colors available in the kit. When I noticed the blue, I knew that there was an Easter when I focused on blue and yellow and decided I could use some photos from that Easter.

To incorporate both the blue and yellow, I knew I had to use group photos. I finally decided on the ones of my husband and his girls and I'm glad I did.
