...ONE MORE CHAPTER...

A couple of months ago in my Bookaholic post, I mentioned the fact that even though I love books and libraries, I'm not an avid reader. It's a fact about myself that I still can't quite wrap my head around. I think part of my problem is forcing myself to find the time to just sit and read.

I also have a love for all things typewriter. I love the look of the words a typewriter gave and the sounds it makes as you type. I even loved the smell of the typewriter.

So when I saw that September's Daily Download at Gingerscraps was focused on books and some of the elements had typewriter themes, I was all in, but I struggled with what I would scrap about. I then saw the wordbit of Do Not Disturb and I had my inspiration.

A couple of years ago I was helping a local small vinyl business and part of what I had to do was post pictures of the shirts that I had purchased to kind of help get the word out. I'm not necessarily comfortable posing for pictures so I tried to come up with some good ideas. One shirt I purchased was David from Schitt's Creek and his line of "I'm trying very hard not to connect with people right now." It's the perfect sentence for someone like me who gets uncomfortable around large groups of people and/or strangers. I had also recently finished reading And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie and for some reason, I decided to throw the two together for my photo.

I didn't have any expectations for this photo, and I really just did it to fulfill a 'job requirement', but it actually became a picture I liked and I loved how it displayed a part of my personality without needing words.
