...OH SO KIND...

I've loved the monthly collections North Meets South Studios have done this year. They've been focusing on one word/trait each month and I've loved the inspiration that has come just by having a buzz word to work from.

August's word was KINDNESS and while I'm sure I have tons of pictures that I could've chose from, one image kept coming back to me and I hoped and prayed I still had it.

During our family campout in 2017, I caught something happen that will forever stay with me. My nephew paused to help my little guy with something. What was even more amazing to me was the way the two little boys interacted. My little brother had his son while he was still in high school and though him and my nephew's mom have tried to make a relationship work, they've discovered they're just better as friends. But that means that my nephew isn't always with us during family events, though his mom is great and tries really hard to make sure he is involved, life doesn't always work out that way. So, these two boys didn't really know each other well, but that did not stop my nephew from being kind to his younger cousin.

However (and I've mentioned this before), my hard drive crashed in May of 2018 and I lost a lot of photos and included in the missing photos are most of the ones from that campout in 2017. I got lucky though. I had posted this photo to Facebook and so I was able to at least get this memory back and scrapped.
