...MY KIND OF COUNTRY...

When I was young and a little more naive, my dream was to own and live on a ranch somewhere in the wide, open country. I don't know where the idea came from as this suburb living girl didn't have a whole lot of life experience, but it was my dream.

A marriage and a few kids later, I realized I'm too lazy to actually take care of animals the way a rancher would. However, my dream to live out in the country has never died and I still dream of owning a place out in the middle of nowhere.

A short-time ago, I went on a weekend get-away with my mom and sisters and my mom just so happened to find a cute, little farmhouse for us to stay at. Within minutes, I was completely at home and happy and I didn't want to leave. I decided then and there that maybe I could do the whole ranch thing, I'd just have to be rich enough to hire workers to actually do all the hard-work.

When Farmhouse Fall was set for a $2 Tuesday, I knew I needed it and I knew exactly what photo to pair it with. Although looking at it now, I wish I had taken a better picture. The view from the back porch was almost better than this one that I took from the front porch. Maybe I'll just have to make a trip back there sometime.
