...GET AWAY...

I like to fancy myself as a writer, but there are times I get writer's block when coming up with titles. And sometimes I like to play on words and phrases and that's how this title came to be.

When I was younger, I always thought it would be lots of fun to go on vacation with friends. Not with kids, just the adults getting away. That finally happened for us. My husband and his best friend got Groupon's or something for a few different golf courses around the state and a couple of those courses just happened to be a 4 hour drive away from us, so of course it meant staying overnight.

We actually went for 4 or 5 days and while the men acted like old men, my bestie and I acted like we were young and spry. We took a hike one day, went shopping for craft supplies another and worked on our craft the last day. It really was a good trip and I was so glad to get to spend some time with my friend outside of our home lives.

I absolutely loved the color palette in Farewell Summer and I couldn't wait to scrap a page about our fun little get-away.
