The final layout completed for the Scrapathon is definitely another of my favorites. This was a mini-kit challenge and the goal was to use all the elements from the mini. I opted to buy the full kit as I was worried I wouldn't be able to do a page just using the mini-kit.
I feel like a little background is needed if you don't personally know us or our story.
My husband's chosen career is that of a computer programmer, and I suppose that they are sometimes referred to as code monkeys. Probably about 20 years ago my husband ran across a song that he felt described his job to a T. And the name of the song is, you guessed it, Code Monkey.
And I've put a video here for you to enjoy. (Oh, and that part about the secretary...my first full-time job was as a receptionist.)
A few months ago my husband's office did professional headshots and so I had these photos and thought they'd work well with the colors of the kit. As I chose my layout I thought I had 3 different headshots, but in reality, I only had 2. I had put too much work into the layout I was creating and I was liking the way it was turning out, so I threw in a photo from his birthday.
I really do love the way this came out and a few others did as well as it was nominated for Layout of the Week!!!
