...AILEY'S HERO...

The Gingerscraps Free With Purchase (FWP) collection for June is, of course, centered around fathers. It is called: Hero Without a Cape. It's a phrase I definitely love. So many men are heroes to others and while they may occasionally wear a cape, they aren't usually seen doing so.

While trying to come up with a way to take my layout, my thoughts kept going to my late father-in-law. This man had an amazing relationship with my baby girl. They have birthdays a day apart and from the day my daughter was born, she bonded with her grandpa. As she grew, that relationship only grew. My mom would often comment about how my father-in-law was the only extended family member my daughter liked.

It's hard for a three-year-old to completely understand the concept of death and my little girl really struggled for a long time. But I am so glad we have so many photos to look back on and remember the good times.

This layout was a little hard to create, but in the end, I think it's a nice tribute to the person who was most important to my little girl when she was little.
